Gazzang products utilize best practice, industry standard cryptography provided by FIPS (Federal Information Processing Standard)- certified open source modules from organizations including Red Hat, the Open Source Software Foundation, and the Open Source Software Institute. These modules include OpenSSL, libgcrypt, and the Kernel Crypto API Cryptographic Module.

Gazzang integrates with hardware from vendors such as Thales in cases where tamper-proof hardware cryptography is required to meet Level 3 FIPS 140-2 compliance.
